About Victoria, Vancouver Island...
Victoria, on the southern
tip of Vancouver Island boasts Canada's mildest climate. This area is the sunniest
spot in the province and the gentlest in Canada in terms of climate, environment,
and lifestyle. There is an average of 2,183 hours of sunshine and 26.2 inches
of rain per year.
Our
summers are warm, dry and sunny during the day with sometimes a slight breeze
so even when exerting energy you are comfortable. We do suggest packing a sweater
and light windbreaker for cooler summer evenings. Temperatures seldom exceed 75°F
or 24°C.
In the winter (Nov - Feb) remember your rain gear and warm
sweaters. We will provide the umbrellas. If you are planning more adventurous
excursions, we suggest bringing appropriate gear including rainproof jackets,
hiking boots, binoculars, camera, day pack, swimsuit, water bottle, etc.
Don't
forget a good book, your favourite music, perhaps a game you both enjoy or special
bath products you prefer. Let us arrange some special
extras in your room for your arrival!
Remember to bring
a printout of our map so you can easily find us once you arrive. See
our maps.
