Willows Beach
Located off Beach Avenue at Dalhousie in Victoria this sheltered, sandy beach has a summer concession stand and a play area for children. 10 minutes from Across the Harbour.

Cadboro Bay Beach
This beach is located at the foot of Sinclair Avenue in Victoria and is a favourite with families because of the playground facilities at Gyro Park. Popular for windsurfing and sailboats. 20 minutes from Across the Harbour.

Matheson Lake Regional Park
Located off Rocky Point Road in Metchosin. Activities include hiking, swimming, fishing, and cycling. Facilities include parking, trails and pit toilets. 25 minutes from Across the Harbour.

Island View Park
Located off Highway 17 at Island View Road not far from Sidney. Great place for sunbathing - popular area with artists, photographers and rockhounds.

Thetis Lake Park
Located on Six Mile Road in View Royal and Langford. Features hiking, swimming, and fishing. Facilities include parking, washrooms, change rooms, lifeguard supervised swimming, concessions, picnic tables and shelters, drinking water, and trails. 20 minutes from Across the Harbour.

Sooke Potholes
A series of rock pools located along the Sooke River, surrounded by small waterfalls, boulders and trees. A path from the parking lot leads past a private property sign to the bottom pools and continues uphill to more pools - the higher you go, the more privacy you get!
